Oman's £2.5 billion Typhoon deal signals high hopes for British exports in the Gulf region

Signalling the continued growth of the defence sector in the Middle East, BAE Systems has signed a £2.5 billion deal with the Sultanate of Oman for the sale of 12 Typhoon Tranche 3 fighters and eight Hawk advanced jet trainer aircraft. The fighters, which will be manufactured from 2014 for a 2017 delivery, include the Euroradar
