Col. David Marshall, Director of Artillery from the Canadian Forces, discusses one of Afghanistan's biggest challenges, completing the integration challenges in theatre. This includes the notion of integration of fires with those of other battlespace users to ensure safety and precision to minimise collateral damage and provide the required support to soldiers on the ground. The integration of future systems is also an important issue for the wider artillery community and the Canadian Army. The Canadian Army are looking in particular at the challenges of having a human interface.
