The McChrystal Textbook: Has Afghanistan Changed the Rules of War?

About this Podcast...

This interview with General Stanley McChrystal, US Army (retired), examines the textbook doctrines of traditional warfare. Network centric operations are a specific aspect of modern warfare that defines how we counter insurgency - through civilian indigenous networks, through media relations and through command and control structures. The need for revolutionised communications is predicated by enemy technological advances, as well. General McChrystal also addresses personal lessons learned from his Rolling Stone Magazine interview, which ultimately led to his resignation.
