'Social Media and the Military': Supreme Allied Commander Europe Tweets SM Strategy

About this Podcast...

In this third 'Social Media and the Military' podcast, David Bailey catches US Navy Admiral James Stavridis (Supreme Allied Commander Europe) during a brief pause during an operational visit, to ask the SACEUR why Social Media is, in his opinion, important to NATO. The Admiral describes social media as a network building device, particularly among Afghans, themselves. He envisages social media as a system to be employed actively by the military, and believes strongly that preconceptions of its limitations within the military have to change.

Admiral Stavridis' facebook page can be found here, and his Twitter profile can be found here.
