IBM Wins $38m UK Ministry of Defence Contract

IBM has won a five-year GBP23m ($37.88m) contract from Defence Equipment and Support, a department of the UK Ministry of Defence, to manage the UK Air Surveillance Command & Control System, UCCS. IBM designed and implemented the system in 2001 and will now provide support for all hardware, software, training, helpdesk, and onsite assistance.
