France to Cut 2010 Defence Budget

French Defence Minister Herve Morin announced on the 28th September that the 2010 French Defence Budget would dip slightly in 2010. However, although the projected 2010 budget of E32.1 Billion is lower than the 2009 total of E32.9 Billion, the latter figure includes E1 Billion injected as an emergency measure to stimulate the economy. The 2010 budget will also include E700 million as a further stimulus to the economy.
