Craig Penrice, Operational Aircrew Adviser and Oreste Fabbro, Senior Market Analyst, Eurofighter Gmbh were interviewed at the ‘International Fighter Conference’ in Athens on the subject of ‘Future Developments of the Eurofighter Typhoon.’ One of the hottest export prospects currently for the aircraft is in Oman, where a replacement is needed for their Jaguar aircraft. In the interview, Penrice and Fabbro discuss this and other current export activity. Also discussed are forthcoming technical advancements for the aircraft, including the AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) Radar that is under development and the possibility of ‘Thrust Vectoring’ being added to improve the aircraft’s air combat capability.
