France invests $2 billion in cyber defences as attacks quadruple in two years

France will bolster its cyber defences with a $2 billion investment in its IT infrastructure as part of the government’s forthcoming military budget, according to Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
In an interview with French newspaper Les Echos, Le Drian said, "In 2013 we recorded 780 significant computer incidents within the defense ministry, [compared with] 195 in 2011,"
