Commander Julien Le Roux is a French Navy engineering officer with over 18 years of leadership in naval systems, undersea warfare, and critical defense infrastructures.

A graduate of the French Naval Academy (École Navale), he has forged a career at the intersection of operational excellence and complex systems engineering, specializing in nuclear safety and advanced sonar technologies. His background in the French Submarine Force includes overseeing the integration of next-generation acoustic systems and ensuring the technical readiness of nuclear-powered submarines during strategic deployments.

Beyond his technical mastery, Commander Le Roux has demonstrated command capabilities, notably leading a naval patrol vessel in the Pacific. Transitioning to strategic training and organizational leadership, he directed the Undersea Warfare Training Division and the engineering department of the Nuclear Submarine School in Toulon. In these roles, he spearheaded engineering strategy and the deployment of high-fidelity simulation systems.

Currently, as the Director of Undersea Warfare for the Mediterranean, Commander Le Roux is at the forefront of modern naval strategy. He orchestrates the integration of autonomous systems (UUVs, gliders) and leads seabed warfare initiatives, ensuring technical interoperability between defense procurement agencies and international allied forces.
