Airbus Helicopters, Sikorsky, and PZL-Swidnik, the Polish subsidiary of AgustaWestland, have all tendered for Poland's Ministry of Defence contract to acquire 70 new helicopters to replace its ageing Mil Mi-8, Mi-14 and Mi-17 rotary wing aircraft. Airbus Helicopters is proposing its EC-725 for the $3 billion contract with AgustaWestland offering the AW-149 and Sikorsky putting forward its S70i Black Hawk.
