India Needs More SU-30MKIs

India is seeking to acquire 50 more SU-30MKI multi-role fighters to counter the perceived increased air threat from China and Pakistan. So far, 238 SU-30MKIs have been purchased from Russia, of which over 100 have so far been delivered. 140 of the total are being licence-built by HAL in a programme due to complete in 2015.
