The heightened risk of naval mine warfare in the coming decade runs in parallel to the number of recent years that have passed in which the development of skills, culture and technologies dedicated to countering this threat has been neglected in favour of other defence capabilities.
With the recently confirmed renewal of the massive IMCMEX event less than 12 months after the last, multinational forces are finally attempting to fill the gap.
