Michael Loringer

Director – Business Development, Autonomous Aviation (International) Anduril

Michael "Squatch" Loringer is a twenty-year combat aviator who builds alliances. At Anduril Industries he leads international business development for autonomous aviation, working with allied air forces on Fury and the introduction of collaborative combat aircraft into their force designs.

He joined Anduril from U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa, where as Chief of Advanced Programs he focused on how autonomous aircraft and crewed fighters will fight together in Europe. Earlier, as Chief of Weapons and Tactics at Ramstein Air Base and USAFE's MAJCOM F-35A standardization evaluator, he founded NATO's first multinational Weapons and Tactics (WEPTAC) conference, since scaled to more than thirty nations, and Ramstein 1v1 — a first-of-its-kind NATO exercise in which allied fighter pilots did not know who they were fighting until the two aircraft met at the merge over the base. He also helped stand up the first Weapons and Tactics office at NATO AIRCOM, modeled on the design he established at USAFE. He was one of the Air National Guard's first F-35A operational pilots, having flown the F-16C before it. He began in the U.S. Navy flying the F/A-18E/F — a TOPGUN graduate and STRIKE instructor at the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center, with hundreds of combat hours over Afghanistan and Iraq as a strike lead and carrier air wing mission commander.
