Major General Brian Laidlaw

Maj. Gen. Brian S. Laidlaw​ is the Director of Operations, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He is responsible to the Commander, ACC, on all matters pertaining to the direct operational planning, training, and command and control functions to deploy and employ regular and Reserve component combat air forces, including more than 1,600 aircraft in support of U.S. security objectives. Laidlaw earned his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1997. Upon completion of Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training, he served in multiple fighter assignments flying both the F-15 Eagle and the F-22 Raptor. In addition to his flying assignments, Maj. Gen. Laidlaw was a Legislative Fellow in the U.S. Senate, completed a tour in Office of the Secretary of Defense, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation, and also served as the Principal Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense. Prior to his current position, Laidlaw served as the Director of Strategy, Plans, Programs, and Requirements at Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
