At Acelity, our mission is to change the practice of medicine with solutions that advance the science of healing, create economic value and improve patients’ lives. Acelity is a globally diversified wound care and regenerative medicine company that unites the strengths of the two heritage companies Kinetic Concepts, Inc. and Systagenix Wound Management, Limited. Acelity is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas with a team of more than 5000 employees around the world.
Acelity has a long standing partnership with the US and NATO militaries. Through the OIF and OEF conflicts, KCI supplied negative pressure wound therapy devices to CCAT teams for use on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircrafts. Back at home, KCI’s negative pressure wound therapy devices were used to help restore our wounded warriors. Today, KCI continues to supply the military with life and limb saving therapies and advanced wound dressings to best care for these service members whom have sacrificed so much.
At this Medical Support Operations Conference we are excited to display the V.A.C. Rx4™, a four channel negative pressure wound therapy device developed in partnership with the US Air Force Air Mobility Command and Air Combat Command. At this time the V.A.C. Rx4™ has received FDA 510(k) clearance and expects its CE mark later this year.
