Commander of the Polish Maritime Component Command Polish Navy

Rear Admiral (OF‑7) Krzysztof "Kris" Jaworski, born in 1966, is a graduate of the Polish Naval Academy (1990) with a Master's degree in Navigation and Naval Armament, the U.S. Naval War College (1998), and the National Defense University in Washington, DC, where he earned a Master's in National Resource Strategy (2015). Over more than 30 years of service, he has held numerous command and staff positions at sea and ashore, including commanding a Tarantul‑class corvette, leading a Fast Patrol Boat Squadron, and serving as Chief of Staff of naval formations. His operational experience includes deployment as Chief of Staff for NATO Training Mission Afghanistan. Promoted to flag officer in 2016, he has served as Maritime Component Commander since May 2018 and was promoted to Rear Admiral (upper half) in August 2018.
