Deputy Commander NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC)

Major General Massimiliano Quarto, a graduate of the Nunziatella Military School and Modena Military Academy, has held extensive command and staff roles across the Italian Army. He served in multiple deployments in Bosnia, Kosovo, and FYROM, later commanding the “Nizza Cavalleria” Regiment and the “Garibaldi” Brigade in UNIFIL. His staff career includes key positions in Army General Staff, Joint Operations Command, and KFOR. After leading the transformation of the “Vittorio Veneto” Division into Multinational Division South, he is now the Deputy Commander of the ARRC since September 2025.
