Mr. Magnus Hallberg's career has comprised a wide range of roles within infantry and mechanized battalions. He graduated from the Staff College in 2002 and completed the Battalion Commander Course in 2003. From 2004 to 2025, he served at the Land Warfare Centre within the Development Department, where he worked as a test and trial manager for the Swedish soldier modernization programme and as project and requirements manager for combat clothing and personal protective equipment. He also held the positions of deputy within the Development Department and Commanding Officer of the Soldier Section. Since 2025, he has been serving at Army Staff as the Soldier System Coordinator. In parallel, he has been an active member of NATO's NAAG Land Capability Group on Dismounted Soldier Systems since 2004, acting as Deputy Chairman from 2012 to 2018 and Chairman from 2019 onward. He has also been deeply involved in the NORDEFCO Nordic Combat Uniform project as leader of the User Working Group and currently serves as Chairman of the European Defence Agency's Capability Expert Group on Future Soldier Systems.
