Lieutenant General Ralph Wooddisse
Commander NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC)Lieutenant General (Ret’d) Sir Ralph Wooddisse was commissioned into the Royal Anglian Regiment in 1992 after studying at UCL. He served extensively in Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, later commanding 2nd Battalion and 38 (Irish) Brigade. He shaped strategic plans in the MoD and led major commands including the 1st Division. Appointed Commander Field Army in 2021, he oversaw responses to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and became ARRC Commander in 2024.
