Lieutenant General (Ret'd) Corneliu Postu
Former Director Romanian Defence StaffLieutenant General (Ret'd) Corneliu Postu is a senior Romanian officer who served as the Director of the Romanian Defence Staff starting November 2017, following roles as Deputy Director. Born in Roman, Neamț County, he built an extensive career in air defence, simulation, operational and strategic planning and command, including NATO- focused roles in Turkey and education at the Brasov Air Force Academy, National Defence University and National Defence College in Bucharest and NATO Defence College in Rome. He has a master’s degree in Defence Diplomacy and PGDip in management, marketing and human resources which offers him a very comprehensive approach to the defence issues.
