Brigadier General John B. Mountford graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1995 and commissioned into the Field Artillery. He has served in a variety of positions throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, and Asia. He commanded the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment and the 210th Field Artillery Brigade. He has also served as the Deputy Commanding Officer (Maneuver), 1st Infantry Division. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff Operations for the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) in the United Kingdom. Brigadier General Mountford holds a master's degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College, the United Kingdom's Higher Command and Staff Course, was the U.S. Army War College Fellow at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, and graduated from the French International Capstone Course.
