Major General Zeynel Abidin ERGINBAŞ was born in 1971; he graduated from Military Academy in 1993 as a Lieutenant. He was assigned as a trainee officer in Officer and NCO Course Company Command of Army Aviation School. He completed Helicopter Pilot Basic Officer's Course in Army Aviation School from 1993 to 1994 and his assignments were as follows; 1994-2003 as Squadron pilot in various Army Aviation units, 2003-2005 as Deputy Planning Officer in Planning and Operations Section of Operations, Training and Education Branch of the Office of the Chief of Staff of Army Aviation Command, 2005-2010 as Flight Instructor at Rotary Wing Aircraft Flight Training Board Attack Helicopter Flight Training Section of Education Department of Army Aviation School, 2010-2013 as Intelligence Section Chief and Utility Helicopter Flight Control and Standardization Pilot at 2nd Army Aviation Regiment of Army Aviation Command, 2013-2015 as Operational Training Section Chief and Flight Control and Standardization Section Chief at 1rst Army Aviation Regiment of Army Aviation Command, 2015-2017 as Operations, Intelligence and Flight Safety Branch Chief at Simulator Flight Training Command of Army Aviation School, 2017-2018 as Head of Flight Control and Standardization Board at Education Department of Army Aviation School, 2019-2020 as Simulator and Advanced Flight Training Commander at Simulator and Advanced Flight Training Command of Army Aviation School, 2020-2021 as Chief of Staff of Army Aviation Command. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General by the Supreme Military Council Assignments on 04 August 2021. He served as Commander of Army Aviation School from 2021 to 2022 He was appointed as Commander of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Brigade with the 2022 General/Admiral appointments. He was appointed as Commander of Army Aviation with 2023 General/Admiral appointments.
