Head, Air Force Helicopters Capacity French Air & Space Force

Lt Col Laurent GESTONE began his career as a Fennec helicopter pilot carrying out air defense, search and rescue and armed reconnaissance missions during foreign operations, especially in the Ivory Coast and the Central African Republic. In 2015, he became an experimental test pilot assigned to the Istres Flight Test Center and later served at the French Air and pace force HQ as helicopter program officer. After being Squadron and Wing Commander of a fleet of 21 helicopters at Orange AB between 2020 and 2023, he completed his studies at the French War College in Paris. Since 2024, he is responsible for the helicopter domain within the strategy division at the Capacity development office of the French Air and Space force Headquarters
