Head of Sales and Commercial Business Airbus Helicopters UK

James Champion served with the British Army Air Corps in the mid-1990's as a helicopter pilot. Since leaving the Army, Champion has worked on major international Public Private Partnerships for organisations like Leonardo, GE and Qualcomm. He has spent nearly 30 years leading multi-million pound Sales and Commercial businesses and partnerships across Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Telecoms and Defence sectors. Champion joined Airbus Helicopters in the UK in 2024 and was appointed Head of Sales and Commercial Business in August 2025, leading the commercial strategy with UK and Irish customers across civil and defence environments.
