Stefan Haase

Head of the product unit Active Protection Rheinmetall Protection Systems GmbH

Stefan Haase was born 1974 in the state of Hessia in Germany and joined after school the German Navy in 1994 as an officer candidate. For the following twelve years, Mr Haase served in the submarine branch of the German Navy as an operations officer on U 23 and first officer on U 29. He completed a master of business administration at the Bundeswehr university of Munich.

After leaving the armed forces in 2006, Mr Haase worked as sales manager in the field of underwater acoustic equipment at L-3Com ELAC Nautik in Kiel, northern Germany. He became head of sales in 2009 at SCHOTT AG in Mainz where he was promoted head of the business field for protective glazings in 2014. Since 2015 he is acting in the field of active protection technologies at Rheinmetall, starting as managing director at ADS GmbH and after integrating of the company into Rheinmetall continuing as the head of the then product unit for active protection technologies.

Mr Haase is married with two kids and lives nearby Cologne in the western part of Germany.
