Professor Bryn James

Bryn James is the Senior Fellow for armour research and development and the Senior Fellow for Timing Systems, working across the PNT Advantage & Quantum Technologies programme and the Land Survivability Programme in Dstl. He initiated and led the armour development programme for operational support in Operation Telic and Operation Herrick. For this he was awarded a MOD Chief Scientific Adviser’s commendation. Having also worked extensively on the R&D of precise and accurate timing and frequency technology for defence systems, most of his current work is aimed at developing future timing systems for MOD, working closely with his colleagues in the field of Position, Navigation and Timing.
