Phil joined the British Army in 1976 and served for nine years with the Royal Signals in the field of Signals Intelligence and Electronic Warfare, serving in Germany throughout the Cold War, as well as in Northern Ireland, Central America and the Middle East, leaving the Armed Forces in 1985 to follow a career in defence electronics.

Phil has worked for British, French and now American defence multi-nationals for over 35 years, in the fields of Electronic Warfare support and training, Account Management, Marketing and Business Development

Throughout that time, Phil has worked in the fields of Communications, Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence, Tactical Data Links, Avionics, Joint Fires, SatCom, and Navigation Systems (to name but a few), but now leads Collins Aerospace GNSS Navigation Business Development across EuMEA.

Phil is married with two children and lives in England. His interests include Military History, and after 12 years of spare time research, in 2015 published a book on British Military Intelligence Section 9 (MI9) and its activities…
