Kent Savre is the Senior Director for Precision Weapons within Northrop Grumman’s Armament Systems Business Unit headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota. He is responsible for the strategic direction, capability development, business pursuits and program execution of multiple Department of Defense and International Programs. His portfolio includes Area Denial (next generation terrain shaping capabilities) and Air Defense (Counter Unmanned Systems through the integration of sensors, C2 and effectors to detect, identify, track and defeat unmanned systems).
Kent joined Northrop Grumman in 2018 after serving for 34 years as an Engineer Officer in the United States Army. He retired as Commanding General, United States Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he led training and development of warfighting capabilities for the Army’s Engineer, Chemical and Military Police Branches. Previously, he commanded the United States Army Corps of Engineers North Atlantic Division responsible for Civil Works and Military Construction across the Northeastern United States and Europe. In this capacity he led the Army’s Hurricane Sandy Emergency Response. Kent has distinguished himself in a variety of leadership positions and commanded troops in combat at every level from Company through Brigade. He served as the Director of the Office of the Chief of Engineers, Director of the Army’s Counter Explosive Hazards Center and as the Army’s Senior Engineer in both Iraq and Kosovo.
Kent holds a Master’s in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College and a Master’s in Construction Engineering from Arizona State University.
