Major General Lars Sivert Lervik is a Norwegian Army officer with a distinguished career, starting at the Cavalry Officers Candidate School in 1990. He served in key positions, including Battalion Commander in the Armoured and Telemark Battalions and Brigade North. Lervik has extensive international experience, with deployments to Kosovo and Afghanistan. From 2013 to 2018, he worked in the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, focusing on national security, crisis management, and policy. In 2020, he became the commander of the Norwegian Army. Lervik holds advanced degrees from the UK and the US and is a fellow at the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences.
