Major General Charles Beaudouin

Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans & Programs French Ministry of Defence

Graduated at the Military Academy of Saint Cyr, MG Beaudouin have chosen to serve in the Armor.

Between 1986 and 2006, he assumed several different duties in regiments, from AMX30 troop leader to Commanding Officer of the 6th-12th Régiment de cuirassiers equipped with Leclerc MBTs. In October 2005, he commanded for 5 months in operation his regiment in Côte d’Ivoire for Operation LICORNE.

He also served for twelve years in Paris at the Army Technical Branch, at the Army Staff, at the Army Inspectorate and at the Joint Staff.

From September 2008 to June 2009, he attended the 44th class of the Higher Armament Studies Centre (CHEAr).

Promoted to Brigadier General, he was appointed Director of the Army Technical Branch.

On 2017, promoted to Major General, he was appointed to the Private office of the Chief of the French Army and then DCOS Plans & Programs of the Army Staff.

Married and father of two children, Major General Charles Beaudouin is officer of the Légion d’honneur and of the Ordre national du mérite. He has the Military Value Cross and the Courage and Dedication Medal
