Lieutenant Colonel (retd.) James de St John-Pryce

Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) James de St John-Pryce commissioned into the Household Cavalry and completed tours of Bosnia and two of Iraq as a junior officer, in Formation Reconnaissance, Surveillance and StratCom roles. Following Staff College, he posted to PJHQ in J3 Joint Effects and as MA to ACOS J3. He commanded C Squadron HCR on Scimitar 2 and before postings as: Military Strategic Effects Syria desk, Plans Officer for the EU Training Mission in Mogadishu and AJAX Requirements Manager. More recently he was Second in Command of the Household Cavalry and the J3/Ops and Africa Team Leader in JFHQ. He commanded of the Armoured Trials and Development Unit from August 2021 until May 2024 when it became the Army Trials Unit. On his retirement from the Army in Apr 2025, he became NMS UK’s BD Director amongst a portfolio of roles. His passions are flying (fixed winged), speed riding (skiing with a small parachute) and sailing.
