Mr. Kevin Mills is presently the Associate Director for Ground Vehicle Robotics at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Command Center (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (formerly TARDEC), responsible for developing ground robotics technologies and solutions for the U.S. Army.
His responsibilities include planning, overseeing and executing the Army’s S&T mission for autonomous ground vehicles.
Kevin joined TARDEC in 2002 and has since held positions of increasing responsibility including: Assistant Chief of Staff for G5 (Future Plans) and G8 (Resource Management). He also served as the Associate Director for TARDEC’s Ground Domain Planning and Integration Directorate. His responsibilities included managing TARDEC’s interface with TRADOC, building and coordinating TARDEC’s long range strategic technical plans and S&T project portfolio and ensuring resourcing of those activities by developing TARDEC’s annual POM submission. Lastly, he worked in TARDEC’s National Automotive Center and the Ground Vehicle Power and Mobility directorate. Kevin has a technical background in military ground vehicle power and energy, specifically auxiliary power for combat platforms to include engine generators, fuel cells and advanced batteries. Mr. Mills has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
