Dr Davis joined IDV Robotics in January 2024 following its successful separation from HORIBA MIRA, where he had previously held a number of commercial, technical and strategic executive positions. Reporting directly into Italy he is responsible for the growth of the uncrewed solutions business within IDV (Iveco Defence Vehicles) and the re-establishment of IDV in the UK as supplier to the UK MoD. Following 10yrs at Ricardo (the renowned engineering and strategic consultancy), he joined MIRA in 2009 as part of the executive team that delivered the re-birth of what is the UK’s foremost transport R&D organisation and automotive technology park. Following its sale to HORIBA in 2015 he became part of the global management team for HORIBA’s Automotive business, whilst retaining positions at HORIBA MIRA, where he focussed on corporate strategy and development. In 2022 he subsequently led the carve out of HORIBA MIRA’s uncrewed technology business and its sale to IDV. He is an experienced engineering consultancy professional with a background in automotive engineering and strategic consultancy. He has deep insight on the latest automotive technologies and trends, specifically uncrewed technologies, and has first-hand experience of working across a wide selection of geographic territories and industry sectors, building new technology businesses and operations, and delivering strategic insight.
