Colonel Rainer Peltoniemi
Inspector of Infantry Finnish Army
Colonel, Doctor of Technology Rainer Peltoniemi is an Infantry Inspector in The Finnish Army.
Since 1991 military service in The Finnish Defense Forces. Previously worked as chief of staff for the Kainuu Brigade, as a director of research for the Armed Forces, as commander of the Guard Battalion, Deputy NCC and COS Finnish Contingent in the ISAF operation in Afghanistan.
Served on several units like, the Karelia Brigade, the Savo Brigade, the Kainuu Brigade, the Guard Jaeger Regiment, the Defence Command, the Kymi Military Staff and the Eastern Finland Military Staff, as well as the National Defense College. Current position the Army Command.
He has a doctoral dissertation from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Helsinki University of Technology in 2007.
Born 1968. He lives in South Finland with his wife and two children.
