Brigadier General Terry Tillis

Commanding General, 7th Army Training Command US Army

BG Terry R. Tillis is from Sanford, Florida, and began his military career upon graduation from the University of Central Florida commissioned as an Armor Officer. He has served in several command and staff positions which includes Commander, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, GA; 29th Commander of Operations Group, the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA; Deputy Commanding General of Maneuver, 1st Infantry Division; Deputy Commanding General of Support, 1st Infantry Division; and multiple deployments in support of the defense and interests of the United States. Currently he is the Commanding General of the 7th Army Training Command, Grafenwoehr, Germany.

BG Tillis holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida, a Master of Arts from the University of Southern California, a Master of Military Studies from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
