Commander, Tank and Artillery Training Unit Swiss Armed Forces

Brigadier General Albert commands the Tank and Artillery Training Unit and is responsible for the basic training of the armoured forces and artillery. His unit reports to the Head of Training and Education Command.

As commander of the Tank and Artillery Training Unit, Brigadier General Albert is responsible for the tank and artillery basic military training centre, NCO school and officer candidate school, Test Command, the Thun Military Training Area with its mechanised infantry training centre, and the Bière Military Training Centre with its artillery training centre. Alongside his staff, he promotes the ongoing development of operational doctrine and technical procedures for the armoured forces and artillery and oversees the introduction of new materiel and vehicles.
