Colonel Kevin Vanyo

Military Deputy to the Director, Army Tank Automotive Research, Development U.S. Army

Colonel Kevin Vanyo is currently serving as the Military Deputy to the United States Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) Director. Commissioned as an Armor officer upon graduation from the State University of New York (SUNY, Geneseo), he completed the Armor Officer Basic Course and served in a variety of Armor Branch command and staff positions in Korea, Germany, and then Fort Knox, KY.  Upon completion of Troop command, Col. Vanyo was assessed into the Army Acquisition Corps. 
Col. Vanyo’s acquisition assignments include: Combat Development Action Officer and Subject- Matter Expert, U.S./United Kingdom International Cooperative Development Program, Future Scout and Cavalry System (FSCS/TRACER); Assistant Product Manager for the Stryker Commander’s Vehicle and the Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle; Army Technology Objective Manager, Kinetic Energy Active Protection System Program; Uniformed Army Science Advisor, U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR); Chief, Operational Test and Evaluation Ground Branch, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM); Increment II Product Manager (PdM) for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A, INC II).  
Colonel Vanyo holds a B.S. degree in Management Science, SUNY-Geneseo; M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, University of Louisville; and an M.B.A. from the University of Louisville.
