Microflown AVISA (www.microflown-avisa.com) is NATO’s unicorn in the field of battlefield acoustics, allowing passive, distributed and unattended sensing. Exploiting the benefits of its proprietary acoustic vector sensors, Microflown AVISA offers a unique hardware platform, the so called Acoustic Multi Mission Sensor (AMMS). Because of its favorable SWaP features, a subarray of four AMMSs (a CASTLE) can be installed on mobile/ weaponized ground vehicles, reducing the sensor to shooter time to the maximum. For deep operations and more timely results in the acoustic domain, multi copter/fixed wing drone capabilities are offered.
Each sensor node has substantial local signal processing capabilities, requiring very little bandwidth to be fed into a mesh type of resilient network. Firmware that can be loaded bring Next Generation capabilities to:
