Vice President of Future Programs AM General

Shatiel Edwards is the Vice President of Future Programs at AM General, where he leads the company's capture strategy, proposal execution, and product development for next-generation defense programs. In this role, he is responsible for shaping and advancing new business opportunities across mobile tactical vehicles, mobile artillery, and unmanned ground vehicle portfolios, including efforts aligned with international artillery modernization and emerging autonomy-enabled capabilities. Shatiel brings more than 26 years of U.S. Army experience with deep expertise in acquisition, analytics, and large-scale program execution. Prior to joining AM General, he served as Deputy Product Manager for Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) and Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport (S-MET) programs within PEO Ground Combat Systems, directing a $1.4B+ portfolio and helping establish multiple programs of record that are shaping the Army's future Human-Machine Integrated Formations. Previously, Shatiel was the Program Officer for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Follow-On Contract, where he led the $8.6B source selection and production effort, achieving over $1B in cost savings and successfully navigating GAO protest scrutiny. Earlier roles included JLTV Cost Chief and senior analytical leadership positions, where he developed award-winning decision-analysis tools adopted across the Department of Defense.
