NG Fellow - Missile Products Northrop Grumman

Eric Axelson is an NG Fellow for Northrop Grumman’s Missile Products Business Unit within the Weapons Systems Division.'

In this position he, is responsible for leading the development and implementation of business strategies for Northrop Grumman’s across Missile Products and within the Fuze & Warhead Business Strategy Team. This strategic business team generates in excess of $500 million per year.

Prior to Northrop Grumman’s 2018 acquisition of Orbital ATK, Axelson was a 30-year veteran of ATK, which later merged with Orbital Sciences to become Orbital ATK. Axelson has a broad base of experience, having held leadership positions in the quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering, program management and business development disciplines.

Past capture and program execution involvement has included teaming on the Accelerated Improved Interceptor Initiative, Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Alternative Warhead Program, Air Launched Rapid Response Weapon, SPIDER and many other strategic initiatives.

Axelson holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Technology. Active clearance level: Top Secret
