Lieutenant Colonel Erik Verstraelen [BEL]

Programme Officer of Motorized Capability French Armed Forces

Lieutenant-colonel Erik Verstraelen started his military education in 1996 at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels. After his professional education at the Artillery School, he worked successively as a M109 platoon commander, instructor in artillery technics and battery commander. After his senior officer formation, he combined operational artillery functions with several material management "heavy weapon systems and ammunition" functions. He was the commanding officer of the Belgian Artillery Battalion from the summer of 2022 until september 2024. Today, lieutenant-colonel Erik Verstraelen, works in the French Army Staff on the French-Belgian Motorized Capability cooperation.
