Dennis Nuppenau was born 27th of January 1970. He joined the Danish Army in 1989. After completing his education at the Army Officers Academy in 1994 he was commissioned into the Danish Artillery where he served in various platoon leader positions and 2IC in headquarters- and howitzer batteries before attending the Advance Course to serve as battery commander. In 2008 he graduated from the Army Advanced Land Operations Course and the General Staff Officers Course at the Danish Defense Academy followed by a number of staff appointments at the Artillery School, Brigade staff, Instructor at the Defense Academy and deskofficer at the Defense Command. Since 2019 LtCol Nuppenau has served as Artillery Battalion Commander and as DCOM Artillery Inspector and Chief of the Joint Fire Support Branch as well as being an augmentee to the HQ Multinational Division N in Lavia in the Deep Ops branch. LtCol Nuppenau have three deployment including Bosnia, Afghanistan and Latvia. He is married to Majbritt (professor at University of Southern Denmark) and have two children (boys). He enjoys long distance running and spending time at his holiday cottage at the eastern coast of Jutland in Denmark.
