I joined the RAF as Ground Electronics Technician in 1997. Transferred to the Royal Navy in 2006 as a Weapons Engineering Artificer (WEA), serving on HMS’ York, Campbeltown, Richmond and Westminster before leaving in 2019 and joining Dstl as a Gun Systems engineer in the Land Domain. In the last 5 years I have worked as a project engineer on the Lightweight Fires Platform (LFP) project, provided evidence to support the procurement of the UKs Dismounted Joint Fires Integrator (D-JFI) and lead the gun systems work package of the Land Environment Performance Evaluation (LEPE) project under the UK’s Future Kinetic Effects and Weapons Systems (FKEWS) programme. In addition to these I am a member of the Joint Ballistics Technical Working Group of the JBMoU and I chair the Anglo-Netherlands-Norwegian Collaboration Project (ANNCP) Working Group 3 on indirect fires.
