International Business Development, Tactical Missiles and Maneuver Combat System Lockheed Martin

Mr. Michael Dale Butler joined Lockheed Martin in August 2018, working in International Business Development for Tactical Missiles and Combat Maneuver Systems at Missiles and Fire Control, Dallas, Texas. Prior to Lockheed Martin, Mr. Butler served 28 years in the United States Marine Corps. He has served as a fire support and artillery subject matter expert at all levels from Company to Corps. Additionally, he has served as the USMC Artillery Requirements manager responsible for establishing current and future requirements of Marine Corps artillery systems. He became an advocate for the expansion of HIMARS capability to provide operational fires for Corps level commanders across the Range of Military Operations. Additionally, He championed the adaption of HIMARS and MLRS Family of Munitions to engage Naval surface targets. Mr. Butler has expertise advising and closely working with military forces across the globe. He served as an advisor to the Iraqi Army and assisted the Deputy Commander, International Security Assistance Force (DCom, ISAF) conducting ministerial advising for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. He has conducted combined planning and execution of large-scale defense exercises with the Republic of Korea Marine Corps and advised the Republic of China (Taiwan) Armed Forces during Exercise Han Kuang. As a member of the Tactical and Strike Missiles International Business Development, Mr. Butler continued to develop international partnerships through Force Design and Capability Development discussions with military and government leaders in Asia, Europe and Northern Africa. Mr. Butler received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Auburn University and earned a Master of Military Arts degree from the Marine Corps University.
