Colonel Petri Majuri was born in Finland in April 1974. He completed his conscript service in the Armoured Brigade in 1994 where he was trained as a forward observer. Majuri graduated from the Finnish Military Academy in 1998. After completing his studies, he served as an instructor at the Armoured Brigade and the Reserve Officer School. In 2004 Majuri was appointed as an artillery tactics teacher at the National Defense University. Between 2008 and 2011, he continued his military studies and completed his military technology and general staff officer courses. After graduating from the general staff officer course Majuri served at the Artillery School as the head on Research and Development Department. In 2013 – 2015 he served at the Army Command in the Plans and Policy Division as a Senior Staff Officer and in the Intelligence Division as a Sector Head. In 2015 - 2018, Majuri served at the Army Academy as the Commandant of the Artillery School. In 2018 he served in the NATO-led KFOR operation in Kosovo as the Deputy Commander of the Joint Regional Detachment Centre. At the end of 2018, Majuri was assigned to the Operations Division of the Finnish Defence Command where he was the Deputy Director of the Joint Operations Centre. Following this Majuri was posted to the Armoured Brigade where he served as the Chief of Operations in 2021 – 2023. In 2023 - 2025 Majuri served as the Chief of Staff of the Army Academy. At the moment he is the Inspector of Finnish Army Artillery.
