Born on April 25, 1963, Colonel Jost Hügel resides in Bamberg, Germany. He began his military career in 1983, serving actively until 1995. During this time, he pursued academic studies in Education at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich and later in Economics at the University of Hagen. Since transitioning to the Army Reserve in 1995, Colonel Hügel has held several key leadership roles: 1995–2005: Vice Commander, Armoured Artillery Battalion 375, Frankenberg (Saxony) 2005–2008: Artillery Officer, 10th Armoured Division, Sigmaringen (Baden-Württemberg) 2008–2014: Commander, Artillery Regiment 345, Kusel (Rhineland-Palatinate) Since 2014: Commander, German Artillery School, Idar-Oberstein (Rhineland-Palatinate) In his civilian profession, Colonel Hügel is a dedicated mathematics teacher and the owner of a private school that supports students facing academic challenges, helping them successfully complete their education. He is married and has one grown-up son who is currently studying law and administrative management in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia.
