James Williams

Jim Williams is a senior engineer at the RAND Corporation. His research areas include mission analysis of new technologies and operational concepts in contested combat environments and ballistic and cruise missile defense. Much of his work involves computer modeling and simulation of Blue versus Red integrated forces, systems, communications, and command and control concepts. Prior to joining RAND, Williams worked at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center where his work focused on assessing threat air weapon systems and included an assignment as a USAF exchange officer embedded in an allied defense intelligence service. Williams received his M.S. in aerosystems engineering from Loughborough University and his B.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia.
