Head of Innovation & Capability – Maritime UK Defence Solutions Centre

Neil Cogdell is a senior engineering and innovation leader with extensive experience across maritime and land defence programmes. He worked on submarine and naval ship systems at BAE Systems, as well as supporting numerous land campaigns, and has led complex systems integration, to deliver new operational capabilities and innovative solutions. Now focused on advancing the role of ACPs in defence, Neil brings a practical, delivery-focused perspective on enhancing naval capability through autonomous systems. With an engineering background, he is passionate about applying emerging technologies to real-world challenges.
