Captain Adam Stein

Adam is an active duty Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. A native of the small rural town of Oil City, PA, Adam moved to Pittsburgh, PA when he was young, and is proud to consider Pittsburgh home. Adam's education includes earning a B.A. from Duquesne University in 2005 while on a Naval ROTC scholarship.

As a newly commissioned active duty Ensign in the Navy, he was selected for the Navy Postgraduate Scholarship program, and spent his first two years earning a M.B.A. from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. Adam has completed more than 20 years of active duty Navy service with tours on USS Antietam (CG 54), USS Tortuga (LSD 46), USS Spruance (DDG 111), and as Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of USS Delbert D. Black (DDG 119). His shore assignments include tours as a Junior Officer Detailer (career manager), Flag Aide to Commander, Navy Installations Command, Deputy Executive Assistant to OPNAV N4, and a lead Countering WMD Planner for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Adam is currently serving in the Chief of Naval Operations' Surface Warfare directorate as the Branch Head for both Future Ships (DDG(X) and FFG-62) and Digital Transformation.
