Wing Commander Rafael de Almeida Duque

Head of the Satellite Control Division Brazilian Air Force

Wing Commander Duque is from Sao Paulo, southeast region. Born in 1981, he graduated as a pilot from the Air Force Academy in 2002. Throughout his career he specialized in the operational area, accomplishing several courses such as the Air Tactics Course, Data Link Basic Course, Electronic Warfare Course, Orbital Analyst and Flight Dynamics Engineer, and Global Space Situation Awareness Course, among others. Furthermore, he is a Master of Science in Space Systems Operations. As a fighter pilot, he accomplished all operational courses, such as Flight Instructor Preparation, Fighter Squadron Leader, Package Leader, and Air Component Commander. In 2024, Wing Commander Duque was assigned as Head of the Satellite Control Division. He has over 1,750 flight hours and is a pilot of T-25; T-27; AT-26; A-29, F-5E, F-5M and C-98.
